We are Courtney and Rachael—two High Country locals with more than 20 years of combined experience creating and documenting weddings.
choosing a smaller wedding should not mean piecing everything together alone or settling for something that feels less considered.
An intimate celebration gives you the freedom to focus on what matters—to choose a place you love, spend time with the people closest to you and shape a day around how you genuinely want to feel.
We created High Country Elopements to make that freedom easier to access. Our experiences combine thoughtful planning, trusted local knowledge, beautiful settings and honest photography in one calm, cohesive process.
The result is a wedding with less noise, less pressure and more room for the moments you will actually remember.
Courtney is the calm behind the details. With years of wedding planning experience and an instinct for making complicated things feel simple, she takes care of the logistics, supplier coordination and thoughtful touches that bring each celebration together.
She understands that the best plans create freedom rather than formality. Her approach is warm, organised and deeply considered, allowing you to enjoy the process without carrying every decision alone.
On the day, Courtney is already thinking three steps ahead, quietly holding the timeline and making sure everything unfolds as it should.
Rachael is a photographer and creative with more than a decade of experience documenting people, connection and celebration.
Her work blends refined documentary photography with a calm editorial eye. She notices the atmosphere, the landscape and the fleeting moments that make a day feel like yours—capturing them honestly, without pulling you away from the experience.
Rachael also helps shape the visual direction of each celebration, ensuring every element feels connected to the place, the people and the story being told.
Between us, we hold both the practical and creative sides of your celebration.
Courtney makes the day work. Rachael makes sure it feels and looks like you. Our shared local knowledge connects you with remarkable places and trusted people, while our experience allows us to anticipate what you may not yet know to ask.
We care about the details, but never at the expense of the moment. Everything we plan is there to give you more freedom to be present.
Your celebration should reflect your relationship, not a list of traditions you feel obliged to follow.
We create experiences that belong in the High Country, shaped by its landscapes, seasons and local character.
Fewer elements, chosen well. Every inclusion should add something meaningful to the experience.
You do not need to spend your wedding day posing, hosting or rushing. You should have time to live it.
